Hengli Heavy Industry Secures Massive Orders
According to Hengli Group, Hengli Heavy Industry recently returned with a full haul from the 2026 Posidonia International Maritime Exhibition in Greece, successfully reaching a signing milestone of 21+4 new shipbuilding projects involving six shipowners and spanning five major vessel types, with a total value of nearly $2.23 billion.
The successfully signed contracts for the 21+4 new shipbuilding projects cover high-end vessel types, including 6,000 TEU container ships, Kamsarmax bulk carriers, Capesize bulk carriers, LR2 product tankers, and Suezmax crude oil tankers. Demonstrating a strong performance characterized by a "full product spectrum, large volume, and high added value," the effective order amount has exceeded $1.48 billion. The orders cover all mainstream vessel types across the container, bulk, and tanker segments, reflecting the company's steady and balanced development across multiple vessel categories.

During the exhibition, a leading European container shipping liner placed an order for 6,000 TEU container ships, marking a major market breakthrough for Hengli Heavy Industry in the medium-sized container ship segment. Another prominent Greek shipowner simultaneously increased its order for the same series, bringing the total number of this series in Hengli Heavy Industry's order book to nearly 40 vessels.
Two well-known Greek shipowners chose Hengli Heavy Industry and placed orders for 82,000 DWT Kamsarmax bulk carriers and 181,000 DWT Capesize bulk carriers, respectively. The collective "betting" by Greek shipping companies confirms that Hengli Heavy Industry's shipbuilding capabilities in the dry bulk market have received core recognition from the Mediterranean shipping circle.
The Suezmax crude oil tankers ordered by Greek shipping giant VENERGY, along with the LR2 product tankers ordered by another prominent Greek shipowner, have enabled Hengli Heavy Industry to achieve simultaneous order breakthroughs in both crude oil and product transportation. Advancing on both fronts, the company's energy vessel segment is in full bloom, significantly enhancing its competitiveness.
As the country with the largest shipowning fleet globally, Greece's maritime exhibition serves as a "barometer" for the global shipbuilding industry. Hengli Heavy Industry's continuous success in securing massive orders at this platform fully demonstrates the high recognition from top international shipowners regarding the company's construction quality, on-time delivery rate, and after-sales service system, extending its brand influence to global core shipping hubs. The fruitful results at this Greek maritime exhibition mark another milestone in Hengli Heavy Industry's internationalization strategy of "being rooted in China and serving the world." In the future, Hengli Heavy Industry will continue to focus on the high-end shipbuilding sector, drive product upgrades through technological innovation, ensure vessel delivery through lean management, and strive to become the most trusted partner for global shipowners, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of China's shipbuilding industry.
